The Inclusive Software Catalogue provides a list of software that schools may consider using to support students with additional needs.
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE GUIDE
Prior to accessing the Inclusive Software Catalogue, teachers and support staff should read the Inclusive Software Professional Practice Guide, developed to assist and guide them on whether assistive technology is appropriate, and if it is, provide a process to select an effective software application. It is recommended that you identify a key staff member(s) to lead this process. This role will involve liaising with students, teachers, families, school staff and relevant professionals to ensure that any software is appropriate for the student(s).
PRIVACY
Before using any online service/app, schools must ensure that they identify and address any privacy concerns prior to introducing the service/app to students. A checklist is provided to provide guidance on identifying any privacy concerns.
You can download the whole Inclusive Software Catalogue or select a category to investigate software that may support students with additional needs.
