This resource package includes activities for educators working in partnership with families to support children's learning at home. Children learn in the context of their families and families are the primary influence on children's learning and development. Educators will listen to and understand each family's circumstances, acknowledging that there may be changes in children's behaviours at this time. They will identify what families do well and build on their confidence. Professionals play a role in uniting around a shared vision for all children, with early childhood professionals working together with children and families to facilitate learning and development. Every partnership will be unique, just as each family, with their different experiences, values and priorities, is unique.
