The study of Economics and Business begins in primary school at levels 5 and 6 and continues into secondary school at years 7 and 8, and years 9 and 10. The resources on this page have been sourced from a variety of educational content providers to assist teachers plan, deliver and assess student learning within the Economics and Business Curriculum. Resources have been provided at each banded year level and for each strand. Preference has been given to resources that align with the Victorian Curriculum, however, some included resources align with the Australian Curriculum.
Economics and Business is the study of how individuals, families, the community, workers, businesses and governments make decisions about the allocation of resources. Students study the effects of economic decisions on themselves, and others now and in the future. The study of Economics and Business will assist students to be prepared to participate actively in economic and business decisions in their adult lives.
