A resource providing practical, easy to use resources which support oral English language work in the classroom, for teachers of newly arrived English as an additional language learners. The resource contains sixteen units of work including: teacher notes, activities and worksheets.
Unit themes:
This resource has been designed for teachers who may be unfamiliar with the needs of ESL/EAL learners new to learning English. The resource aims to provide material to support a classroom program. The activities and worksheets are designed to encourage communication and interaction between the new arrival, the teacher and other students in the class. Each unit provides learning outcomes both for English learning and for the topic, lists of appropriate English vocabulary and grammar features, worksheets and additional references and resources.
