This unit of work is designed as an initial introduction to French for Foundation students in Term 1.
Student participate in a range of songs, games and other activities to become familiar with the French language.
The unit introduces key words and phrases relating to greetings and farewells, classroom instructions and expressing feelings.
The unit also establishes classroom routines and behaviours to encourage students to develop good language learning habits.
At the end of the unit, students use the My Passport to Languages (French), developed by the Victorian Department of Education and Training to begin to document and share their learning.
