This module provides essential information to authorised persons in Victorian schools who are empowered to issue a School Community Safety Order under the School Community Safety Order Scheme (Scheme).

If you are considered an authorised person under the relevant section of the School Community Safety Order Scheme page on the Department of Education and Training website and you intend to use the powers under this Scheme, you are required to complete this module.

The Scheme is specifically designed for Victorian school settings to strengthen protections when adults in the school community who engage in harmful, threatening or abusive behaviour towards members of the school community. This module introduces authorised persons to the legal powers of the Scheme; details when a School Community Safety Order is needed; how it is implemented; and where to find detailed guidance and information.
