 Migration has played an important part in shaping the development of Australian society. People have made the journey to Australia in many ways and for many reasons. Explore the journeys through the stories of migrants, and consider their reasons from migrating, their experiences upon arrival and the impact of migration on Australia as a culturally diverse society.

Ideas for using this resource

This package is designed to explore the many and varied reasons for migration to Australia. By exploring the individual experiences of migrants who have come to Australia, and the broader context of world events during each wave of migration, students will gain greater insight into the impact of migration on Australian society.
