Food Waste

This sequence was developed by Monash University students Kate Doherty and Robyn Dewever, as part of their assessment for Food, health and wellbeing in the Faculty of Education. It explores the issue of food waste, what it is, how it happens and ways to reduce it. This sequence of digital learning activities forms a structure for teachers to be able to scaffold students learning about food waste. It has been put together in a coherent way with each activity supporting the one prior to and the one after. It is hoped that the combined use of these activities will give students a sound understanding of the topic and help them to develop their knowledge, skills and understandings in relation to food waste and the impact that it has throughout the food supply chain.
